How the Calculation Works
Enter your date of birth and a target date (today by default). The tool subtracts month and day components correctly so that, for example, someone born on 29 February in a non-leap year does not lose a birthday. It then expresses the result in two complementary ways: a human-friendly "X years, Y months, Z days" breakdown, and exact totals — total months, weeks, days, hours and minutes you have lived. The countdown to your next birthday is calculated from the target date, handling year rollovers automatically.

- NADRA documents: verify the age that will print on your CNIC, NICOP, or Child Registration Certificate before you submit the form.
- Government job applications: CSS, PMS, FPSC, PPSC and provincial commission notifications carry strict upper age limits — confirm your eligibility on the deadline date, not on submission day.
- University and HEC scholarships: many merit and need-based scholarships specify a maximum age on 1 September of the admission year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the calculator handle leap years correctly?
Yes. Each February of a leap year is recognised as 29 days, and people born on 29 February see their birthday roll over to 28 February in non-leap years for age computation, in line with NADRA practice.
Why does the "months" count differ from a simple subtraction?
Because months are not all the same length. The tool borrows days from the previous month when the day-of-month difference is negative, exactly as a human would when filling a form.
Is my date of birth sent anywhere?
